Procedures

MOLD REMEDIATION

SCHOOLS, MEDICAL FACILITIES, PUBLIC BUILDINGS, PRIVATE RESIDENCES

Setting up Appointment - Expect appointment/treatment to be within 10 days of initial call. Emergency response/treatment is available if necessary.

 

Day of Treatment - We meet with you on site to discuss the project & answer any questions. The premises will be inspected, and mold samples taken for analysis at an Independent Accredited Laboratory.


Treatment - Remediation work will be conducted in accordance with industry accepted practice and guidelines, including but not limited to the following:

  • Institute of Inspection Cleaning and Restoration Certification (IICRC) 520, Standard and Reference Guide for Professional Mold Remediation, First Edition, December 2003 
  • NYC Dept. of Health Guidelines on Assessment and Remediation of Fungi in Indoor Environments. 
  • US Environmental Protection Agency, Mold Remediation in Schools and Commercial Buildings.

Close-Up - When the process is complete and we are 100% satisfied that all exposed surfaces and air spaces have been treated we will secure each room, locking the doors on the way out.

 

2 Hours Later - You can re-enter the building. We suggest that you open windows and re-circulate the air for a 30 minutes and damp mop hard surface floors to avoid sliding should the floor get wet. You can then enjoy your fresh smelling, MOLD-FREE PROPERTY.


Post Treatment Testing - Our Certified Mold Inspector will carry out a full mold test post treatment. We will mail the independent laboratory test results to you for your files and guarantee that the interior levels of mold will not exceed the exterior levels.

INDOOR AIR QUALITY / INFECTION CONTROL

Assessment / Evaluation Degreed, professional engineers will investigate your indoor environment using a variety of certified testing methodologies and forensic lab analyses.

PHASE 1: Treatment/Decontamination Process


Objective: Eliminate all traces of MRSA, mold, viruses and other bacteria within the buildings using a combination of:


1. Chemical Methods to Clean Surfaces and Substrates
2. Fogging Methods to Decontaminate Surfaces, Substrates & Air Spaces


* All products used are EPA Registered, environmentally friendly and fast acting; ensuring that building occupants can return safely to the premises in a matter of hours post treatment.


Phase 1can either be executed entirely by our team of Environmental Consultants and Trained Certified Technicians onsite or, it can be used as part of an “In Service Training” opportunity for your maintenance supervisors and janitorial staff.


We are not a threat to existing staff; we compliment and collaborate with building maintenance staff and school systems to augment and streamline their existing indoor air quality / infection control program in order to facilitate a healthy environment for building occupants.
